Why Export XRPL Transactions?

Tax authorities treat crypto trades as taxable events. Every DEX swap, NFT sale, airdrop claim, and token transfer on the XRP Ledger needs to be reported. CSV exports let you import directly into tax software instead of manually tracking hundreds of transactions.

The XRP Ledger records every transaction permanently on-chain, so your full history is always available. The challenge is converting raw ledger data into a format your tax software understands.

How to Export Your Transaction History

1

View your transactions on XRPL.to

Go to your address page at xrpl.to/address/[your-address] to see all your transactions. This gives you a complete overview of your on-chain activity including DEX trades, token transfers, NFT operations, and trustline changes.

2

Use XRPL TX Exporter for CSV download

Visit transaction-exporter.xrpl-labs.com, enter your r-address, fetch your transactions, and download the CSV file. This tool pulls data from full history XRPL nodes to ensure nothing is missed.

3

Or use Bithomp for tax-platform-ready formats

Go to bithomp.com, search your address, select your preferred tax platform format (Koinly, CoinTracking, Taxbit), and download the CSV. Bithomp formats the data specifically for each platform.

4

Import the CSV into your tax software

Upload the downloaded CSV into Koinly, CoinTracker, CoinLedger, or your preferred tax tool. The software will calculate your capital gains, losses, and income automatically.

Tips for Accurate Tax Reporting

  • Export ALL wallets you have used - XRPL accounts are cheap to create, so make sure you are not missing any
  • DEX trades show as OfferCreate transactions - each one is a separate taxable event
  • Airdrop value = fair market value at time of receipt - check the token price on XRPL.to at the time you received it
  • AMM LP tokens complicate things - entry and exit may both be taxable depending on your jurisdiction
  • Keep records of trustline setup dates - not taxable but useful for context when reviewing your history
  • For a detailed breakdown of what is and is not taxable, see the XRP Crypto Tax Guide
